April 20th is an enormously celebrated holiday for the Mile High City as the bustling spring weekend fills Denver with block parties, drink and food specials at restaurants all across town, and of course, awesome music for the bass capital. That being said, if the annual HDYFEST trap music party at Red Rocks with Flosstradamus and What So Not doesn’t suit your fancy there are always more options for those who still crave their dance music fix.
On April 20th, City Hall in Denver will host the annual 420 on the Block celebration, featuring old-school British dubstep mastermind Rusko, alongside co-headliners New Orleans-born funk masters Dumpstaphunk, and the gritty sound of J. Phlip of Dirtybird Records. With multiple popular local Denver venues hosting the event, 420 On The Block celebrates the cannabis culture that is changing the world.
Rusko, known for his energetic stage presence and classic U.K dubstep wobbles from the 2000’s, will headline the Denver venue for the first time, bringing an insane amount of energy with a refreshing burst of old-school electronic music that Denver knows and loves. With such a diverse group of headliners and no two artists being similar in style or genre, the night will be full of unexpected musical surprises while bringing back some of the most popular styles of music. City Hall will be booming with energy all night as they host one of the largest 420 gatherings in Denver.
